Лишь в сравнительно недавнее время представление о том, что разум и тело взаимосвязаны и взаимозависимы, вновь обрело популярность, способствуя развитию современных воззрений на природу болезней и такой научной дисциплины, как PNEI (ПНИ) или психонейроиммунологии. В ходе работы психологом, Марко Пакори отметил для себя один очень важный момент: все люди, которые приходили к нему с психологическими проблемами, часто также жаловались и на телесные расстройства. Автор изучил, почему улучшения или ухудшения эмоционального и физического состояния происходят параллельно друг с другом, а труды медиков, остеопатов, специалистов по акупунктуре, врачей-иридологов и т.д. помогли охватить проблематику работы во всей ее полноте и сложности.

During his work as a psychologist, Marco Pakori noted one very important point: all the people who came to him with psychological problems, often also complained about bodily disorders. The author studied why the improvement or deterioration of emotional and physical condition occurs in parallel with each other, and the work of doctors, osteopaths, acupuncture specialists, irdologists, etc. helped to cover the problem of work in all its completeness and complexity.
